Synopsis:

Striptease is a dark comedy and crime drama centered on Erin Grant (Demi Moore), a former FBI secretary who turns to exotic dancing to support herself and win back custody of her daughter. After losing her job and custody due to a messy divorce, Erin begins working at a strip club in Miami called the Eager Beaver.

During one of her performances, she catches the attention of Congressman David Dilbeck (Burt Reynolds), a lecherous and corrupt politician with a dangerous fondness for strippers. When a murder occurs involving club associates and political operatives, Erin finds herself entangled in a web of corruption, blackmail, and cover-ups that reach into the political elite.

With the help of a sympathetic detective (Lieutenant Al Garcia, played by Armand Assante) and her loyal bouncer friend (Shad, played by Ving Rhames), Erin navigates the seedy underworld and political scandal in a fight to reclaim her daughter and expose the truth.
