Synopsis:

Maya Vargas (Jennifer Lopez) is a hardworking assistant manager at a Queens big-box store who has built her career on street smarts and determination. Despite her impressive track record, she is passed over for a promotion because she lacks a college degree. Frustrated by the limitations placed on her due to her lack of formal education, Maya wishes for a second chance to prove that real-world experience can be just as valuable as academic credentials.

Her best friend’s tech-savvy son secretly creates a fake résumé and online profile for her, falsely portraying Maya as an accomplished business consultant with an Ivy League education and high-profile corporate experience. As a result, Maya lands a high-level job at a prestigious Manhattan cosmetics firm.

Thrown into a world of boardrooms, business jargon, and cutthroat competition, Maya must learn to navigate the high-stakes corporate world—all while keeping her secret. Along the way, she develops a close bond with Zoe (Vanessa Hudgens), the daughter of the company's CEO, leading to personal revelations that tie into Maya’s past.

As the truth begins to unravel, Maya must decide whether to come clean and risk everything or continue living the lie. Ultimately, the film is about reinvention, self-worth, and proving that it’s never too late for a second act.
