Synopsis:

George Washington “G.W.” McLintock (John Wayne) is a wealthy and influential cattle baron in the American West who commands respect from his community but finds himself in the middle of personal and political chaos. Though he's successful in business and beloved by the townsfolk, his private life is a mess: his spirited wife, Katherine (Maureen O’Hara), left him two years earlier and is now back in town—demanding a divorce and trying to take their daughter Becky (Stefanie Powers) with her.

As G.W. juggles family tension, he’s also contending with land disputes involving homesteaders, corrupt government officials, and local Native Americans. Meanwhile, he hires a feisty cook named Louise Warren, who adds to the chaos and comedy.

What follows is a rollicking blend of Western action, slapstick comedy, and romantic sparring, all culminating in a famous mud-slinging brawl and a fiery showdown between G.W. and Katherine—full of physical comedy and old-school charm.
